Periodicals Department

This department deals with procurement, cataloguing, holding and borrowing serial sources such as: magazines, newspapers, annual issues, calendars, almanacs, anthologies from various institutions, etc. This Department holds over 500 titles.

They are largely literature journals (Letopis Matice Srpske, Beogradski književni časopis, Književni list, Sveske, Gradina, Savremenik plus, etc.), but there are journals from other areas (Treći program Radio Beograda, Kultura, Zaštita prirode, Poljoprivredni calendar, etc).

Currently we are obtaining 5 daily newspapers (Politika, Blic, Danas, Vecernje Novosti, Sportski zurnal) and 5 weekly magazines (Nin, Vreme, Nedeljnik, Ilustrovana politika).

We are conserving: Borba, Politika, Nin, Sluzbeni list FNRJ/SFRJ/SCG/SRJ and Sluzbeni glasnik Republike Srbije, which are valuable source of information for the researchers.

Services:

Periodical publications can be used in the Reading Room, and selected articles can be photocopied and/or scanned.

There’s a digital legislation database Paragraf Lex, available to our members, also via Kobson platform (Serbian Libraries Consortium for Unified Procurement), they can access numerous foreign magazines.
