Registry Service

Public Library Uzice is functioning as a registry service for public, school and special libraries, for info centres within other institutions in the following municipalities: Arilje, Bajina Basta, Kosjerić, Nova Varos, Pozega, Priboj, Prijepolje, Sjenica and Cajetina.

In accord with legal provisions we are observing conditions, studying needs and suggesting actions for improving library work.

Upon hands on inspection and evaluating condition of rooms, equipment, staff, and library holdings, we are issuing instructions, suggestions and proposals in order to improve the work. Mostly they cover fulfilling prescribed standards, automation of work, technical equipment, database online availability, planning book purchase, holding revision, lack of space and staff. Besides, we are consulting representatives from the founders, local self-governments, regarding legal operation of surrounding public libraries.

On the grounds of Rulebook on Continuous Professional Training, we are organizing trainings and seminars for the public and school librarians.
